He’s very good. He ‘s also ahead of Konsa on that showing.

Trouble is he is now missing next two. If Konsa is back for both of them, it then becomes his shirt to lose again.

Hard to be sure watching on the box from afar, but Axel and Ty seemed to already have reasonable chemistry, be there to bail each other out when needed etc.
Pau will have had a long lay off, when fit he and Konsa may no longer be automatic first choice?

He's missing two of next three, he's eligible for Palace away next Tuesday.

Pau has to come back into this team.

He's been a useful signing. We needed him. He's an improvement on Carlos.

Axel does have to watch himself as the yellow card he picked up could have been red if chosen to look unfavourable.
he raises his hands and push rather than punches the liverpool opponent McAllister.

I don’t know how he was cautioned because a yellow wasn’t initially forthcoming.

Not enough for a red card though but ominously some communication to Pawson to book Disasi.
doesn’t help VVD and other liverpool players asking for more.

That was ADs biggest and gravest error last night as far as i’m concerned

Excellent performance, IMO. I love Mings, but Disasi bailed him out a few times tonight. I also liked the leadership he showed going over to Garcia after the first goal. Shame he's missing next two home games.

I only half caught that and was wondering who it was. Striking difference between that and the young Uzbeki's mistake against Chelsea for Man City, where he was left alone to fester with it.

I'm impressed by him. If he carries on like this we should be looking to make it permanent.

He is a big guy. Looks a unit although a tad slow. He did well to put nunez off for that horror  miss. He looked thrilled  at that miss. Loved that passion

Still early days, but I've liked the look of what we've seen so far.  If he carries on the way he has playing, I hope we can make it permanent.

If he was ours on a full time basis i think Konsa would struggle to shift him

Say he joins, it feels like we then have 4 CBs who all are much of a muchness, in a pretty good kind of way. I think Ozcan is being lined up as Mings replacement in a couple of years. I was hoping that Pau would be a level above but so far it hasnt turned out that way. I still feel we need one standout centre back if we want to make that final step to actually winning things. Perhaps Loic Bade was supposed to be that step.

Pau is a big step up in terms of distribution but not on the physical side of the job.

It's always the same when players are unavailable, their reputation soars! But I do think we need a centre back comfortable with distributing the ball at the back, that's not Disasi, definitely not Konsa and poor Mings is struggling badly with the ball near his feet. Liverpool were letting our CBs, Mings especially, have the ball and pressing hard on our midfielders and full backs instead. Torres is a big asset in that scenario.

I was in favour of bringing Mings back in for Torres, more that he would help organise the defence a lot better, settle Konsa a bit and be a leader where we had none. But unfortunately that hasn't really played out. Mings is struggling horribly these days and sadly doesn't look the player he was pre injury.

Pau should start in the vast majority of games.
