Yeah, he has always seemed like a top bloke. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't need two raging egos pointlessly shit talking each other to be interested in a fight. I guess it must be proven to sell (PPV) tickets considering so many of them seem to do it.

Particularly as so few are even any good at it. Mostly it's just embarrassing.

Yep, definitely.

I don't mind if it's in a fighter's nature, though. Someone like Ali or Fury (not to compare the two as fighters or even personalities, just as 'talkers') make me laugh, but it doesn't feel contrived, it's part of their personality.

But they're few and far between.

And here comes Eubank Jnr with an egg to prove us both wrong...

Very poor from Eubank, though it's good to see him come out of his shell.

Two cards tonight, neither particularly promising. On a sad note Carson Jones, who beat Brian Rose and lost controversially to Kell Brook, has died aged 38.

Paddy Donovan v Lewis Crocker. Donovan well on top, two points deducted for butting, gets disqualified for punching after the bell.

Big night for women’s boxing on Saturday.
Natasha Jonas v Lauren Price

At 40 I think it would be incredible if Jonas won, but I think Price might have a bit too much

Following yesterday's news that Dubois is in talks to fight Usky for the undisputed heavyweight, today Usky has been ordered by the WBO to begin negotiations with Parker for a mandatory title defence.

Nick Ball, who's fighting tonight, is perhaps the best British boxer at the moment.

I'm currently watching the worst fight I've seen this century.

Worse than Joshua v Ruiz II?

Which was Hagler v Hearn by comparison.

Nothing boring about Jack Turner, that was tremendous.

So far we've had a fight that one judge scored 97-93 and another had 91-98, twelve rounds of running, a stunner of a stoppage and Steve Bunce hardly able to talk.

And now one fighter's kicked the other.
