As Glasner pointed out, Palace have become a basket case , selling players on the eve of a match without any replacements, yet we just did the same thing.

Difference is that Glasner had fought tooth and nail with the board in the summer to keep him this season and then they sold him behind his back. And they probably did that because Glasner had told them he was leaving so they made the not unreasonable decision that losing 20m by keeping a player for a manager that was fucking off anyway wasn't the wisest business decision ever.

Palace put a price on Gueh and city matched it, Bournemouth had a similar situation with Samenyo who played a few das later.
We did not have to let Malen go without any back up. It’s amateurish.

It’s pretty self evident that it’s not helped us today. We had no useful attacking options on the bench. Against a side like Everton it’s entirely believable Malen comes on and helps us open up the game, it’s happened before against similar sides.

So the decision to sell him has definitely hindered us short-term. We’ll see longer-term, but it’s probably cost us something already.
