I wouldn’t call taking 4 points from our next two league games ‘limping over the line.’

I'm not sure clinching it with two games to spare would qualify as 'limping over the line'.

Win against Spurs is a must, for our own objectives, but more for the greater good.

Feel a but more confident about beating Spurs now that Simons is out for the season. Maddison, who always plays well against us, is back on their bench, wonder if they'll have to chuck him in.

I've been saying it since November, but if we go into the last two games requiring ANYTHING to get into the Champions League, I may well bite my fingernails down to the bloody stumps.  Please get it done before then, Villa.  Please.

It feels like the last Champions League qualifying season, we did enough and then hung on, expending as little energy as possible.

Saturday was a bit shit, but Fulham are a decent side. Tottenham need thumping, and for someone to make sure Maddison decides to sit out the rest of the season.

So I guess now the magic number is 5 ( not 4 due to goal difference)? For every point we gain that comes down, and every point dropped by Brighton it comes down?

That's assuming Brighton reman 6th?

If we win at the weekend we are in if Brighton (@ Newcastle) and Bournemouth (vs Palace) both fail to win.

Obviously that won't happen because nothing good ever comes of Crystal Palace matches.

Yep win at the weekend and the only way we can be caught is if Brighton or Bournemouth win all their games.

Just to add more context to the magic numbers.... There are 4 games and 12 points to play for (5 and 15 for Palace) for those numbers to happen.

Probably, we need to refresh it.

But to start we must beat Spurs.
