For the most part since Emery’s arrival he has been operating with the players he inherited, and bought players with promise who can get better. He has coached many of them to a level way above their natural ability. What we need to really push on is proven quality. We’ve spent decent money on some like Diaby or Torres but that’s been about it. The top teams spend our transfer record on squad players. We need some top talent in the next few summer windows.

Yeah but we’re not aloud to.  Like Newcastle in the same position.  So we have to do deals and shop at a level or two below the other teams
