Bizarrely we’re still in the game if he can come up with changes at half time!

On the bright side we should be 4-0 down, those two gifts from Martinez, the back pass and the pass to jackson.
and it's not like we created zero. Watkins has had 3 sniffs. There is space behind their full backs
Emery will be tearing the paint off the walls.  Mike basset bastards of bastards stuff.
but yeah this is the worst half I've seen under emery.

it wasn't a back pass, if you look at Torres' body position

That was horrid - felt very similar to the kind of games that managers have at the end.

Not suggesting that - we’ve been awful FFP fucked us.  We need to hold our nerve.  He’ll find answers.

I think plan a is not working at the moment and we need to try something different.  Bring Mings in for example.

We said that mings and Beundia would be like new signing but they have played nowhere near the amount of football Zanilio or Lenglet played

Score the next goal and we'll get something out of the game.

I think Cash has played quite well so far in a defensively poor side. One of the key problems is players not controlling the ball or being able to retain possession: combine that with the fact Tielemans has been poor and it's no surprise to see us 2-0 down.
We're slow generally, and defensively we're too deep.

Funny how we all see things differently.  Cash looks like a pub player to me today. He’s given away 3 needless corners and has bashed a knee high back pass to Martínez.  The defence is shot, made worse because  our centre forward is on one of his cold streaks.

Barkley on for Rogers, Tielemans to 10, which should've happened about a month ago tbh. Bailey on for Philogene, because he's proven he has that level and it's our only option on the right. Duran on for Watkins. Mings on for Torres.

All at half time.

If there's not an improvement by the 46th minute, then Buendia on for McGinn.

The only good thing is, they're only 2 up.

I can't believe how easy that first half was for Chelsea.
Apart from one good move down our left we just tried a few hopeful punts up for Watkins to chase.
Watkins has been terrible by the way.
Damage limitation coming up second half with probably Olsen coming on....Yikes!

Something has been 'off' all season. maybe some of the in the know here are aware what it is but something hasn't been right.

I think the biggest issue is not replacing the goal scoring of diaby and luiz. We lost 15 goals and replaced them with onana who is injury prone doesn't score  as many as dougie and inconsistent  and a hopeless player like philiogene.

Not signing a problem  right back as well.

This teams embarrassing to watch at times when you see how we defend as well

agree but if watkins scores its 1 0 and  adifferent game like arsenal and spurs before .  We are nowhere near as good as liast season but we are missing easy chances put them in and brings confindence , he has cost us a few points this season , I think I saw something where Villa miss the most big chances, so we have created.

100% back pass
Some of you just deluded

Torres controls the ball with his foot Martinez picks it up, it’s as plain as day
It’s a fuck up that’s all there is to it

After Tyrone deciding he wanted to play basketball instead of football and Emi/Torres and Emi again, it really does feel like our defence is brain-fart central.

Thing is, we've actually created a few openings! Watkins has fucked two very good chances! There's still the kernel of the good team in there. It's just that it's a kernel surrounded by candy floss and blancmange.

Comes a time though mate when you have to make difficult decisions and take ollie off. He missed sitters vs arsenal spurs and now today. Punished in all of those.

He is costing us. When you ahve no one wlse that helps with scoring either then you are in trouble.

Rogers and onana are the next closest to him in terms of goals.  Barkley has 2 as well and that speaks  volumes having being one of our most goal scoring midfielders

There is absolutely zero chance we’re getting back in this game.
