Anwar El Ghazi's happy about it.
https://x.com/elghazi1995/status/1889034225451479093?t=bDhhq-6Q5WvzXxCGvZD9Cw&s=19

He's a good lad, Anwar.
What a penalty taker!
And a play off hero!
Welcome back anytime.
I think under Emery he would do well
He’s better level than Cardiff and I’m surprised no lower half prem team took him on.
Should at least play top end championship

footy vil . he hadn't played for over a year before joining us . He hasn't been match fit for 3 months so no prem club would have taken him on the start of the season . Just about getting match fitness now . on the flip side Chambers have been superb for us the last 10 games
Thank you for your reply. I think have to be fair Chambers played in 7-0 in middle and that was a week ago so can’t have been superb for 10 games
Chambers is a championship player with greatest respect maybe he was good in other games but against Leeds you lost 7-0 so I can’t agree with your assessment

i go week in week out and since we moved him in front of the back 4 been superb for us . i should have mentioned apart from the leeds game

and yes a good solid championship player not a prem player these days
There were times that role was muted for us, he did a few little cameos there…was always one of those players who filled in for an odd game very well, but wasn’t enough to get a regular spot.  Was always going to be good for you guys if could stay fit

Is that true about the 50 out of 57 Home drawers thing
Seems a bit far-fetched

A human didn’t think he was offside, but he was.

Makes you think.

Certainly does along with all the other favourable calls over the years , thanks for reminding us . (Wasn't necessary we know).

4/6 of their last FA Cup games have been away (those not at neutral venues).

Can’t stop thinking.

We've played Cardiff three times previously in the FAC. Lost 2-1 away 1927, won 6-1 at home 1929, lost 2-1 at home 1949.

The old adage which I grew up with and I’ve seen John Russell mention “The team that beats the Villa wins the Cup”

It was certainly true in 1927.

It certainly happened a fair few times!

1959 Forest 1960 Wolves 1961 Spurs 1962 Spurs 1963 Man United

1976 Southampton
1877 Manure

A quick Google search shows Man United having 12 successive home cup draws. 4,096/1.

Split second ?? 4 of them all off when the ball is played and airborne
One of the most corrupt goals I've seen for a while , but yeah

So we won 6-1 at home 1929.
That sounds a score line we could repeat!

Why do Cardiff get permission to play in English leagues anyway ? Is it because like Swansea they have outgrown the Welsh Leagues?
How come Scottish Teams like Celtic and Rangers don’t get to play in England leagues?
