I went to 2 games as a 13 year old with my dad's bluenose mate called Wingnut (for obvious reasons). I'm from the Baggies end so it's not as fierce a rivalry for me. Just full of the usual football going twats. The main thing I remember from those games was how fucking fast Wingnut walked through the crowds (maybe he knew something I didn't). Serves me right for being a chubby funster.

"Wingnut" isn't obvious to me? It's entirely possible that I'm being really thick.

I remember when we won the league cup 1994 , Central TV interviewed fans on the train (broadcast on the Monday ) . One Villa fan had his mate with him  ( a bluenose) who got some derision , all friendly enough. Maybe different times, but if I was on a train to wembley with the morlocks, I'd be wary of a small heath supporting nun sucker punching me if my
allegiance became apparent.

Big Andy Marshall and his mullet up top , andy Ritchie just off him , Denis "the accountant" Irwin at RB . Worst game McGrath ever played for us , that pitch just didn't suit his knees , was a shocking gen1 Astro turf with a bounce like concrete .

Big ears, like the sticky out bits on a wingnut.

Are there any uniquely Scottish nicknames for members of the Mickey Mouse Club?

Played for Preston And Villa
I’ll go first
Daniel Johnson

i always though he was good enough to stay at Villa
and he was legend at Preston
50 grand 50 grand Daniel Johnson !

Villa’s greatest winger of all played for both clubs.

Mr Anthony Morley esq

Brian Godfrey and Brian Greenhalgh ( The Bee Gees) arrived together in 1967 for £35k. Godfrey captained us in the 1971 LC Final, which helped make up for him not being picked for PNE in the 1964 FA Cup final. Godfrey died a few years back aged 69.
Greenhalgh moved on when The Doc arrived. He's still alive aged 78. Found a piece about him here.
Quote
Greenhalgh enjoyed a relatively successful time on a personal level at Villa, who had dropped into the Second Division.
He formed an excellent partnership with Godfrey.
He netted 12 times in 40 appearances before a new manager came in and
deemed him surplus to requirements.
“Tommy Docherty came in and replaced the previous boss Tommy Cummings,” he said.
“Tommy Doc just didn’t fancy me.
“On my 21st birthday, Doug Ellis – the chairman at Villa – told me he was going to give me a two-year contract.
“I remember thinking ‘Great’ because I was happy there. But then he brought in the new manager and Tommy just called us all in one by one.
“All he said to me was, ‘You’re leaving’ and that was it.”

Not that I'm aware of. I'll ask me dad, if I remember.

Ryan Porteous, cup-tied.
Kaine Kesler-Hayden, cannot play against parent club.
Ryan Ledson, suspended due to accumulated FA Cup bookings.
Duane Holmes, out until summer with broken leg.
Milutin Osmajic,  potentially suspended if found guilty of racist abuse.

They could have as many players out as we usually do.
