Yeah, he covers that.

So unbelievable, that it isn’t true.  Unless the stat is that it once happened. Then it is true but not slightly unbelievable. Other teams have had similar runs. Us being one of them.

What's the most in a row that we've had, for comparison?

Ours is 10. We held the record for a while. Then Shrewsbury got 11. Then United got 12.

I can't see it kicking off at 3 with the embargo in place so likely to be either side of that. The Rags KO at 12:30 at the Dickhead Sports Planet so that would point to a later KO but WMP might not relish 6k Colonel Ghaddafi's drinking in Town through the afternoon.

My guess is a 12noon KO.

It's early, took me a while to work out 'Colonel Ghaddafis'

Me too. Hadn’t a clue what Nev was alluding to linking a former Lybian dictator with Cardiff City FC.

To start with I thought he’d got mixed up with when they used to do the Ayatollah but then a nod of approval

Cool, that doesn't sound like much of a big deal then. Thanks.

Feels like that or 2pm Sunday. I'd be very surpised if it wasn't a TV pick.

Surely they can't give us a Sunday game when we might be playing the following Tuesday.

I wonder if their League game might be moved to Tuesday to accommodate a Friday kick off.

Can’t see WMP wanting us and Blues at home with similar kick off times with 6k Cardiff

This isnt true unless it once happened is a bit of a case of covering all bases. Why say its not true if you need the caveat?

We will definetly win on saturday (unless we don't win).

Because if you were talking about it having happened at some point time in the last hundred years, you'd probably have thrown "once" into the original post below to show that you meant you weren't talking about now.

As it is, he (not unreasonably) assumed you were talking about it being a current thing. Which it isn't.

A quick Google search shows Man United having 12 successive home cup draws. 4,096/1.

Thanks Dave. If I had one wish, I would have you explain things that I’ve said to my wife too? Would save me a lot of hassle.

They did last time, as you pointed out. Luckily we avoided that prospect by finishing top 8. But with the midweek match guaranteed for us, Friday night (apart from the hoodoo) or early Saturday would probably be best. Then we could have Tuesday- Saturday-Wednesday before the March rest.

I do.  Man United getting 50 of their last 57 cup draws at home.

They recently had 12 home draws on the spin, at the combined odds of 4,098/1.

Oh no , it's just coincidence  :)

It IS a coincidence, nothing more. Suggestion of any thing else is pathetically obsessive nonsense.

It is of course a coincidence but if true, it's a pretty BIG coincidence.

They recently had 12 home draws on the spin, at the combined odds of 4,096/1.

That's nothing, I think the odds on them getting 50 home draws out 57 are 545,094,209/1.

I believe the odds of them getting at least 50 home draws out 57 are only 472,064,426/1.

So it's just a coincidence really.

Aren't the odds of all outcomes from 57 the same? As the odds are reset every draw?

Has anyone noticed that Cardiff will be helped in their tie against Villa by the presence of Wales’ patron saint on St David’s Day, March 1st?

As he's been dead for 1500 years I doubt he will get a ticket. We however will have a very much alive Prince of Wales.

Narrowing it down to a day would be useful
