Really messed up not booking flights until i knew i had a ticket - crazy prices at present even wth a 4 hour connection in Paris...any inventive ways of getting there?? nearly £500 return per person for me and my son....

Not how I’m doing it but going out you can get an early Monday morning Ryanair flight from Stansted to Marseille then train to Nice all for about £60 each at the moment if travelling light.

Thanks for the advice - made me look at some different routes, Gatwick to Marseille early Monday, back mid afternoon Wednesday, £115 return, happy with that, got about £70 worth of rail fares to add on, but for 2 of us works out much cheaper. Just that horrible drive to Gatwick....UTV

Just noticed that Monaco doesn’t fall under the EU mobile roaming charges agreement - same as in Bosnia for the game in Mostar. Something to bear in mind.

Thanks, that's useful to know.

If you're with EE, Monaco is included under same terms as EU as it falls within Schengen area.... I think it's £2 something a day to use your standard domestic allowance on phone calls, texts, data abroad.

*Also received my ticket collection voucher today. Cannot wait to get over there and defrost!

Getting to Nice for 3 to get the tickets is not ideal at all.  Only one of us will be there in time.  How strict will they be on the nominated people picking up their tickets?

KLM 06:15 from Brum is delayed to 07:40 which totally misses the 09:35 connection to Nice at Shithole. So they have rebooked me with Lufthansa to Nice via Frankfurt and Zurich, arriving at 14:00. Going to be very tight making the 15:00 deadline for ticket pick up😢

Never, ever, rely on Schipol, particularly in the winter.

On the sleeper train from Paris, a quiet but rocky night awaits.

Hope everyone on the train from Nice to Marseille leaving at 7.25am yesterday ,made the 1.30pm flight back to Gatwick.

All off the train 1 hour into the journey then wait for  complemntary bus for an hour to take you to toulon for another train journey to Marseille Airport. Cost me 170 euros in an uber from Toulon to the airport and got there just in time. Lots of villa on the train hope everyone made it back to the UK

I was due to be on train from Nice at 12, but that was cancelled, ended up on one 4 hours later meaning I missed my Eurostar connection, home now after an extended stop in Paris
