I wonder where John is playing? Left side is the only option unless Rogers is playing there and we are going five in mid.

He started the season on the left.

Torres can't have any complaints after Sunday, but the fact that Carlos got on as sub rather than Mings on Sunday, and that Mings starts tonight, would suggest that Emery doesn't plan to have Mings and Torres playing together any time soon.

That defence is giving me the yips, but I guess after Cash getting injured again and Torres having such an uncharacteristic mare last time out we cannot be surprised. Although I'm slightly surprised to see Maatsen in ahead of Digne

My god we need another, senior proven, right back option. Ned and Lamarde are still green and it isn't Konsa's natural position.

Even if we have to sell first

I do like that Unai is keeping faith with Bailey- I hope he repays that faith tonight with a MOTM performance, its long overdue.
Blimey, big faith in Bailey, mate. I hope he repays the faith but I'm not going to bet on it!

I love Mings I really do, along with McGinn, in my list of all time Villa heroes. But that defence makes me nervous tonight.

Would not have dropped Digne, that seems a bit risky

well I thought Onana and JJ was our better players against SPurzzzz  and SJM was very poor so suprised not one playing at least . Bailey is very lucky to be starting but seeing Ty and KAmara is great too see , thought they was our best two players against Palace.

The only two names I recognise from their line up is Mignolet, who played in goal for Liverpool for several seasons last decade, and Tzolis, who was at Norwich for a while
