Just read that Loic Bade we are trying to sign is not too keen on joining us.

Maybe Monchi and co are looking elsewhere.

Although having written all the above by tonight he will have signed for us!!!

They’re holding out for more cash, especially as we’ve sold Diego.

Gallagher for Duran would have been a fair move during the summer 24 window. If something comes up within this window, say a Villa swap in Felix or Jackson (who played under Emery) I'm not averse if the money is right and a deal is fair.

Felix is a busted flush and Gallagher is fucking crap. Other than that, I fully concur.

Would take Gallagher or Onana? And I think he was first choice in summer
Gallagher been doing well at Ath Madrid and would have suited the midfield play here as well as being less injury prone and more energetic round the pitch than Onana.

On Felix or Jackson well I could see Emery get a tune out of either as he's good at players who have lost their way or needing to take next step.

I suppose swaps more likely to occur in June before PSR deadlines

We're crying out for that 3 back together. Barkley was looking good before injury, but he would be an ideal rotation with Kamara and Dougie. Kamara needs a bit of rotation too.

We need a centre half this week, and for me a midfielder.

Couldn't we just get Barrenechea back from his loan if we need bolstering in central midfield?

Still dont understand  why we havent recalled him after all the injuries  in cm
If my time playing Football Manager has taught me anything it depends if they paid a loan fee or not.

Thanks for answering 😁

After watching us last 2-3 games we should move heaven and earth to get Dougie back alongside Kamara. He was half the player without him, but together they are exceptionally good and would provide the platform to kick on. If there is a sniff of a chance of doing it, we should be all over it.

Agreed 💯 that business with Juve over the summer worked out for nobody really. Luiz had his Italian fling but bring him back to B6. Anywhere near his best and with Kamara we dominate nearly every other midfield in the PL.

Id bring back that semi retired gobshite up in Manchester on loan too. Probably does a Coutinho on us, mind. Too much pressure on Rogers I think. He might be getting desperate enough to consider it and Guardiola seems sick of him. I'm convinced he could turn his career around with us.

No, he's cooked, in the head as much as physically.

Sky Sports paper talk.
EVENING STANDARD

Chelsea have made an offer to take Douglas Luiz on loan for the rest of the season. According to reports in Italy, Juventus have made Luiz available just six months after his £42m arrival.

Don't like the thought of him playing for twats like that. Especially if they don't even have to pay a fee.

Obviously his current employers are already massive twats, but it would be worse closer to home.

It was bad enough hearing the Man City rumours of him going there.
I hoped he would succeed at Juve but McKennie who was to come in exchange,  is doing ok and partly why Douglas isn't getting in the side.

True. I still wouldn't want him either, he seemed to turn his nose up at us so sod him. Probably didn't fancy struggling in a league where his team haven't arranged the result with the officials in advance.

I just assumed Chelsea already had 23 other central midfielders.

They do but they also like to take ones other teams might want. They will sell the U21 team to themselves next year to be able to afford it though.

If the Carlos transfer does not happen, i can imagine that he wont be a happy chappy when he has to return to the club.

Bade probably wants guarantees of playing time in the Villa team, and has told them he won't sign just to sit on the bench.

If the transfer does not happen, it would appear as though Monchi and co. have totally messed up the transfer of Bade / Carlos.

Buendia, according to Unai can leave the club this January, it does seem that we are trying to move a few players out, but no one wants to leave us!

First West Ham, now Chelsea.
Both wanted Duran throughout the summer.
And both are chasing him again this winter window with more talk of reported bids and discussions.
What is happening here? ... but there is no smoke without fire.
Firstly, in the transfer market there usually is lots of smoke without a fire; as you should well know because you seem to scour the internet across all sorts of transfer-news websites.
What's happening here? - I'd say other clubs have been watching Emery try to integrate Duran into the side - and largely fail. Tuesday night will have suggested to a few that Villa will have to sell one of their two strikers (neither will be happy if they get limited gametime) and Duran has the greatest long-term potential.
Emery has his work cut out to accommodate two big talents vying for the same role in a team that only plays one striker; so far, I'm not convinced he has cracked it.

Brentford is signing the verty highly right-back Michael Kayode from Fiorintina whom we were linked to in the Summer. Option to buy only13.5 Million. Another great bit of business from the Bees.
How do they get to pay so little, where we are expected to pay c.£20m for Bade?! A Monchi premium?!
