We are definitely missing Diaby's insane pace

Pace is the main asset we are short of this season. Diaby may not have finalised the end product but he caused the opposition to be well aware of him and to keep more defensive.

Just wtaching the palace game. We really missed a trick not getting sarr. For 12m thats a steal.he is quick and exactly the type of player we need

You have watched him play well in ONE game, where he has his only goal and assist this season*, and are stating we should have bought him. Glad you aren't on the recruitment team.

*He only scored 3 last season... in France.

I take you forgot the games vs watford were he battered us?

Remind me how many goals has bailey and philiogene got in the league this season?

Its what he adds to the team. He is quick  can cause defenders issues and for 12.5m under a quality manager like unai his game couls go to the next level.

So again you're going by just the games he has played against us? Pretty much proving my point.

Yeah, I haven't mentioned Bailey or Philogene, nice work.

You are saying he isnt good enough but i just merely highlighted the point he has done better than philogene and bailey. Its fact as he has scored more in a worse team ( you ignored that element of my post)

Philiogene is absolutely useless. Sarr is a far superior upgrade to him

If we signed Sarr you'd be moaning your arse off about him within ten minutes of his debut. We need a far better player than him. Sadly those sort of players are rarely available in January so I doubt we will do much business.

If he was playing as badly as philiogene then yes i would. Guess you must accept consistent mediocre performances as thats what we have had from bailey and philiogene? Sarr wouldn't  take much more to be better than those two who have a combined zero goals in the league this year

Mediocre, but they’re our mediocre.  Why spend on players that are no better than we have.

Mediocre. That's why we need to buy better, not more of the same.

Hope the scouting team is already identifying targets because if its bailey and philiogene all season we be lucky if we finish in top 10 let alone top 7

If i knew this is the bailey that was going to show up this season i would have rather sold him than diaby

It’s telling that the only players in any sort of form were bought by previous managers. Martinez and Konsa by Smith, Digne and Kamara by Gerrard. None of Monchi/Unai’s picks are pulling up any trees at all, and the summer’s business overall has to go down as a complete disaster.

Good point mart.

The only signing that was doing well was diaby who we sold

Onanas done ok but very inconsistent and injury prone. For a big lad he has a really bad injury record

I think it’s highly selective to call out form in that way. Torres has been absolutely key in getting us to the Champions League - so to try and imply he’s not been good is just nonsense.

Aston Villa have shown interest in PSV Eindhoven’s Malik Tillman.

I know alot of people are not keen but if luiZ is available on loan that should be the first signing january 1st.

Didn't Emery rule that out as a possibility recently?
