That was the first time I’d seen, on the big screen, a reason for not giving a decision after a VAR check, has that happened previously and I’ve missed it?
It was after they were claiming a penalty for a handball after their attacker headed it at point blank range at an arm in around the 20th minute, the reason came up on the screen about 10 minutes later.

Disappointment at only drawing with Manchester United and thus not beating two fellow former European champions in the space of six days tells quite the story about both teams at Villa Park.

A first clean sheet of the season should be cherished, while the international break will hopefully afford enough time to overcome the growing injury problems.

But one of the most impressive aspects of this Unai Emery transformation has been in how they have adjusted to the challenge of competing on multiple fronts. In the 16 Premier League games which have followed European fixtures during the Spaniard’s reign, Villa have won half and been beaten only three times. Martin O’Neill would have been smashing at least one of those plates by now.

That was Harry the slab, squealing at the ref for a pen. I was amazed they didn't give it in some way as it's them and the cheating nature of their DNA

Emery sent us out to draw to keep Ten Haag in a job and thereby rule them out as a competitor for top four.

The man’s a genius.

Did anyone spot any of their fans in the Villa sections of the ground? There seemed to be one towards the front of L2, he was wearing a red shirt so fairly easy to spot, but no-one seemed to do very much about it before the game but he seemed to have covered it at some point in the first half because I couldn't pick him out later on. It just seems a bit strange the stewards weren't moving him.

As long as he wasn't causing any trouble, which he wasn't, then that stuff doesn't bother me at all.

There were quite a few in the Witton Lane, no loud mouths though so no problem.
with the GA+ you are going to see lots more away fans in home stands.

It used to be the norm for lots of away fans in seats. We used to take over Highfield Road and even St Andrews you see lots of Villa fans around the ground in 70s footage. Can remember lots of Wolves for the FA Cup in 83 and Everton for League Cup semi in 84.

And nobody seemed bothered about it!

isn't it only home fans allowed in home section of Villa Park and no I don't want away fans in the home ends, any away fans should be immediately removed

Who cares? I'm sure we're all civil enough to cope with the odd person not supporting the home team. I've been to the odd Villa away game in the home sections and I just kept my head down and didn't upset the deadly Evertonian ultras.

Yeah we’ve all done it, and unless it’s like one Derby away (early pride park fixture) where you realise there are thousands of you and behave as if you were in a villa section, then you keep your head down, gob shut and certainly don’t wear colours. We should only know by the lack of reactions/singing in which case fair enough l, if we know I think other fans are going to want them out…

Though that was about 20mins later. Surely paying fans in the stadium deserve to know what is going on in somewhat real-time, not wait for the display of a tweet?

Still better than the frozen goal check with Bayern that stayed there on screen unresoced for 5mins.

The other thing is the screen encouraging fans to follow live updates for VAR on Twitter. 1) I’d rather be on my phone as little as possible missing what’s going on, on the pitch 2) the idea of any sought of signal or working Wi-Fi at VP is laughable

After the game I usually try to listen to the radio as I walk back to the car. As I walk down Witton lane it works perfectly then cuts out as I turn the corner only to come on again significantly later after the Yew Tree. Is this to do with police radios cutting out reception?
