He retired after the League 1 play-off final in 2022 apparently.

Wow, more changes than I expected. Still a good side, guess I'm just a bit shocked to see THAT much rotation!
That was my reaction to seeing that line-up

Eight changes for Wycombe.

Blimey - does that mean they're weaker tonight than normal?

Most of our starting 11 will be playing a fair old part as we chase success in the PL and CL this season. If they can't comfortably see off third tier reserves we may have a bit of a problem.

A shame Mings and Kamara not ready yet!

Yep, I was hoping they might make it as it's the bestoption to get them some 'easier' minutes int the legs. Hopefully they'll be ready to join the squad in the next round so long as we do the business tonight.

This would have been perfect game and competition  for illing jr and enzo to start

Keeping players like them around to only get minutes in league cup would be really unhelpful for their development. They're playing way more minutes where they are now

No Essandoh for them either, which is a plus.

To be honest Maasten is bloody good

Ned could be class in years to come .

Buendia is good , Duran is class , Onana is awesome,  Bailey is class and Barkley is going to have an excellent season and JJ to come on who will be england squad by the summer 2025.

so yes good enough.

Looking forward to seeing Emi from the start and we shall see if Duran is disciplined to lead the line from the start rather than being an impact player
