Weatherspoons.

Reese? She's fast but not got the height for set pieces.

Both is what Emery picked on Wednesday.

Rashy started up front as the main 9 to help the team. Watkins was on the bench.
2 goals so shows he’s an option.
the beauty is they can both play together as well without much issue .

Watkins always scores against Brighton, I'd be starting him.

Yes, I was thinking that yesterday. He's got a decent record against them, unless he leaves Rashford in now he's off the mark.

Rashford didn't impress me playing as a striker - didn't hold up play or stretch them behind - so I'd be playing Watkins, and even Malen, first.
He's looked more than decent as a winger though and provides squad depth across all the attacking positions.

I think Rashy is definitely lined up for PSG given his form and experience against them and expect both to start that one.

Ollie replaces Rashy during the brighton match after 65 mins .
A great option to have and interesting at moment it’s one or the other.

Tom Collomosse ITK on Watkins or Rashford as striker:

Watkins is carrying a knee injury and having his minutes managed. He says Marcus Rashford is expected to be given the nod at centre-forward and likely to keep his place up front against Nottingham Forest.

Something is off with Watkins, we’ve seen it before with him.  First touch is dreadful, passing and decision making poor.  He will rebound, he always does…..but it’s different now with the squad depth and talent and he might be making more appearances in the bench than he’s used to.

I honestly think the first conventional end of season tournament for 6 years last season for lots of top form players had an effect on the England ones and some others too.

Palmer nowhere near as good, Foden had already come off the boil and then injured, Watkins same. Saka injured. Bowen nowhere near as good. Konsa same. Rice less good. Guehi same. Stones and Walker heading towards semi retired.

Gordon and Gallagher only outfield ones improved - latter had new challenge. Henderson in goal is the other who has got better.

Kane still an outlier.

Palmer had a great first half of the season, though.
