I expect the closest you could state for present day was mix Grealish passing and running at defenders with Haalands finishing touches. Maradona wanted his shirt and if he played today, people would be stating a skilful player "is the new Shaw", not the new Messi.

Aguerro is the closest I can think of that would be a good modern-day match for Shaw.
