Might have been mentioned already but this game is live on Virgin Media 2 in Ireland .

With Brian Kerr and Dicky Dunne critiquing the Villa, heaven save us...

Kerr's normally pretty complimentary about us (plus he's not Stephen Kenny).

Young boys havent had  a great start to season.  We really cannot afford to start with a loss with munich next.

Why the hell would we start with  loss. I don't understand this pessimism. If man City, arsenal or 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' were going to young boys would you anticipate any of them losing? We are a top 4 Premier club and it's about time supporters started to think of us as a top 4 Premier club that the rest of Europe will be terrified of playing against. FFS

If we win by a bigger margin than any victory in the PSV v Juventus game, or if both games end in a draw we will be top of the league for a couple of hours.

Our defence needs sorting out.

Im aure we all thought we would beat legia too and look how that turned out..

Dont think will be a walk in the park at all. We certainly have to be better defensively than we have been

Does Emery make changes? Hard one, But the supporting cast are ready and feels like a game a few could play in (Carlos/Maatsen/Barkley/Duran) but would be harsh on Digne/Watkins to not let them play the first CL game.

I think a couple of changes.

Martinez
Konsa Carlos Pau Maatsen
Onana Tielemans
McGinn Rogers Ramsey
Watkins

And then maybe bring in Duran and Barkley for Wolves (as well as Digne)

We have 7 games in 3 weeks, we have a strong squad, he has to make changes. Eitherway we should have too much for them.

Yeah i think you are right.  A perfect opportunity to maybe have konsa and digne on bench  for carlos and maatsen. Maybe kosta over bogarde but might be a risk having too many changes in defence.

Ollie has to start for me 2 goals we want him to keep up that form but duran should get a significant amount of minutes as a sub i think
