The defence already looks like it will be our Achilles heel again this season.

Whats strange is arsenal probably played better last season at villa park and we were worse than today in that game yet arsenal win today and lose the last game.

Its a funny old game

Early goal though and we then parked the bus, totally different game dynamic

It wasn't last season, either.

We conceded a lot more last season than the season before though. Better defending would have seen us probably top 3

We conceded 61 last season, Arsenal by comparison conceded 29. Until we stop conceding an average of 1.5 goals a game 4th is our ceiling.

Well that's a better right back and a fit 'Kamara' type player to close the gap. Though Rice and Onana largely cancelled each other out today.

Maybe we can also sign that fella Saliba.

We scored late though in 2nd half . Was 0-0 at HT in both games. But arsenal were veey good last year and unlucky to lose. Today we playdd miles better than last seasons game and won. Very strange how football can turn out!

McGinn scored after 7 mins at VP last season.

Are you confusing it with the Citeh game? Arsenal was McGinn goal after about 5 mins and then hanging on.
