Only a friendly but, Sweden lost to Luxembourg 1-0, Olsen in goal.
Are we beating up Olsen over this one as well? Isak and Elanga were upfront the useless dorks.
He’s World No. 2 so the strikers should hang their heads in shame.

For the avoidance of doubt, I wasn't beating Olsen up, just noting the Villa involvement in a surprising result.

I can see he's on the pitch. Has he actually started?

Maatsen scored on debut to take thr tie to extra time.

Malen came on in the 78th minute.
Netherlands lost 4-3 on pens.

Malen’s was saved. Pretty crap effort.

Unfortunate, as Malen was involved in Netherlands’ ET equaliser, and almost scored himself in the last minute ET.

36 clean sheets in 50 caps for Dibu.

Argentine GK record clean sheets is 43.

Any chance he could carry that form back to us? Ditto Konsa and Mings. They all seem to play well internationally.

Konsa and Mings keep clean sheets for us. They’ve even kept two with Olsen in goal. Granted they tend not to do so well with Cash at RB, as most of them were with Ashley Young there, and Disasi was great there v Brentford.
I love your 'CB-watch', Percy! Seriously, you're keeping us all honest on defence matters.

Thanks mate. They were so good in that first Emery season. Then in his second season we were so disjointed defensively that the clean sheets stuck out like sore thumbs, and the (to me) glaringly obvious success of the Konsa/Carlos/Pau combination became apparent. That continued in the CL this season and now the OGs are back, looking good again with a centre-half at RB.

I go on and on about it because people constantly bemoan our lack of clean sheets while seemingly not noticing that we’ve kept quite a few when the right combination of defenders play.

So Morgs and Rashy in the attack are bound to have a goal contribution or two.
Konsa hope he only gets a half he really not needed as Latvia are levels below England and not cause much issue.

Young's contribution at RB in 2nd half of 2022-23 was massively understated.

Rogers to bag a hat-tick and be linked with an 85m summer move to PSG according to the London/North West rags. Failing that Arsenal. Or Spurs. Or Man Utd.

Would like Rogers to score on his first start, but hopefully Denny gets one as well.

Can we not call him Rashy - please...  I know its meant to be affectionate but it doesnt work.

I've been trying to get the people who sit near me at Villa Park to call McGinn 'McGiggles' for years but for some reason they aren't on board. I also tried to get them to call N'Zogbia 'Zoggles', but again, no dice.

Is "no dice" what you call Declan Rice?

Denny can be a bit streaky. Hopefully he's cooking tonight.
