Who is the guy next to Damian

More to the point, what has Damian got on his feet?

No Barracuda or Iling-Junior. Moreno not there either, but Carlos is. Interesting stuff.
I suspect Barrenechea and I-J have been told to watch the pace and intensity of the game for a few, to get them tuned into the differences with the Italian league.
Moreno could well be off to Forest, and anyway we have Maatsen.
Carlos: maybe Emery doesn't yet quite trust Bogarde.

The bench does seem to have players now that can potentially change the game if we need to. Today, I'm guessing Watkins and Bailey will be brought off around 65-70, and Tielemans may give way to Barkley at some point too; subject to injuries.

If this was the other way round, and their star striker had been passed fit to play at the eleventh hour, we'd be absolutely certain that he was going to score against us. Fingers crossed.

It's more the fact we haven't seen Carlos since the sending off in the US, and he's been linked with a move too. I suppose if he's still here he's still a Villa player, so why not use him.

We should do enough to get a draw.

West Ham left most of their signings on the bench and Mavropanos and Kilman is certainly a CB combination we can cause issues against.

Unai has pretty much gone with our most experience side today which is understandable away to a team like West Ham and there's some good options on the bench so not quite as Doomsday as I was a few hours back.

Feels like a 2-2 today.

So Jaden no longer wants to be called Philogene nor Bidace?! FFS!
I like it. Starts off as Jaden Richard Philogene-Bidace, then by the time he hits our first team he’s dropped Richard, then Bidace, now Philogene. Next season he probably isn’t going to bother with a name at all. None of this CR7 bullshit, just plain old “19”. Everyone will know who “19” (n-n-n-nineteen) is

He did…brilliant news.
That’s Kamara and Mings both back with the squad around the same time
