I see 39% seem to think west ham will win.
What's the reasoning here ?. I have to say I'm a lot more confident that some here because way I see West Ham are having to learn to play under new manager and they have a heap of new signings.
I wouldn't worry about pre season for us because that was fitness and playing time. Come 530pm we'll be ready .
Also what's the highest percentage on here for expecting to win ?
Have we ever had 100%?

Probably when we played Hibernians exactly a year ago.

91.8% thought we would progress against Stevenage. It would have been higher but I just voted Stevenage (there was no way to see the results without voting).

87.4% went for home win against Luton.

89.3% predicted a home win against Zrinjski Mostar.

89.1% went for a home win against Hibs. 82.5% predicted us to win the away leg.

I can't be arsed to look at too many more though doubt there will be many where fans were more confident than the above.

West Ham are at home.
We are generally poor on the opening day.
We have never won at their ground.
We have looked poor in pre-season.
Ollie may not start and even if he does, he clearly isn't going to be match fit.
We don't have a solid back up for him if he doesn't start or needs to come off.
We haven't replaced Luiz.
We haven't replaced Diaby.
Emery has a poor record v Lopetegui.

With all that in mind, I'm amazed it's only 39%. Now I am not suggesting we will definitely lose, but there's a few reasons for you in any case.

EDIT: Ollie starts so let's hope he has been training like crazy.

It might work; it depends on the tune.

But as i have reported previously my Everton ST supporting mate says

1) He is not very good in the air for someone who is 6'5"
2) When he does head it its like his head is a 50p piece as it goes everywhere

He says what we will like is his telescopic legs that seem to come out of nowhere to retrieve the ball and surprisingly his extensive passing range, especially out to either flank

My Everton-supporting best mate says he's great in the air. I guess it's the same with us, take two fans and you'll get two different opinions. The stats seem to back up that he's good in the air though.

Who's your friend by the way, Stevie Wonder?! ;)

Although to be fair, it wasn't a towering header he was leaping for. It was almost shoulder height (for a tall fucker like him) when he headed it.
