Borussia Dortmund Away

Getting closer now, the previous thread disappeared for some reason with some useful information on there. Hopefully see you all there, looks like a couple of thousand tickets have sold for this. We will be in Dusseldorf old town if any of you are about. UTV

In Germany your match ticket usually gives you free public transport to and from the stadium. In Dortmund you have to apply separately for your free transport voucher, using a web address on your ticket and then entering your 22-digit barcode. Then, when you've done all this, you're told your voucher isn't yet available. Perhaps it will be later in the week, but it's certainly not working for me at the moment.

I think the info was in the general pre-season thread.

Well, this is what it says in the pre-match instructions. Then, when you follow the guidelines on your ticket and enter your barcode, you're told the free transport tickets aren't available. Perhaps they will be later in the week.

For every purchased ticket, you will receive a unique barcode. Accordingly, a separate public transport ticket must be ordered for each barcode.
Tickets from the guest contingent for BVB home games might not be immediately available. Please refer to the note on your BVB ticket regarding this.

Have we sold our full allocation? Wasn’t it 4,000?

Driving from Amsterdam to Dortmund now. Have made a week’s holiday of it; Ostende - Bruges - Amsterdam - Dortmund. Weather has been brilliant all week.

Looking forward to some German beer and meeting other Villa fans.

I went to Dortmund last christmas for a match. There is very little in the town apart from the football museum. Dusseldorf is less than an hour by train and much better nightlife. Its a reasonable hike from town centre to the stadium but a few pubs along the way. Locals are very friendly. They sold beer in the ground too.
