With Onana and Kamara we may as well laminate the pair of them and hope we get one piece of tougher glass. In 1981 we used 14 players in total, on pitches that were basically allotments between October and March, with virtually no injuries.?

It was like walking football compared to nowadays, plus people raised in the 60s and 70s were made of much tougher stuff.

If Bouma's injury had happened in 1975, he'd had run it off, the fanny.

Hamstring injury. Out at least until after the international break.

£50 million for this waste of oxygen.  Utter useless even when fit.

Everton fans, albeit a tad bitter perhaps? Said he was good for a game each month then goes missing. Well, along those lines.

If he could sort his fitness out, obviously, easier said than done, he’d have a high ceiling as he’s a good player and has the size of a brick-shit-house.

Just without the bricks.

Similar to Delph imo, but without the serpentine tendencies. People used to moan that he went missing, got injured and wasn't worth the fee. Onana cost more (though not that much more when you consider inflation) but came from and is playing at a much higher level at a similar age. He will be fine.

Good comparison.

I don’t think so, I have seen nothing to suggest that Onana will ever get to the pivotal role Delph played at that time.

I'm still not sure what his best position is.  I also think that he frustrates Unai too as we haven't got the best out of him yet.

So, the man made of glass is named in the next Belgium squad despite barely figuring for us this season.
I wonder if he’ll be fit enough ?

That’s ridiculous. Has Tielemans been called up?

Yes, I am sure he will get fit enough to play get injured and return to the treatment room.
