Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, Axel Disasi and Ben Chilwell have been left out of Chelsea's 28-man squad for the Fifa Club World Cup.

The quartet cost the Blues about £179m in transfer fees and all ended last season out on loan.

The first edition of the expanded Club World Cup format begins in the United States on Sunday, 15 June (01:00 BST).

I will not be watching.

No point in helping that god-awful competition gain ground just to supply the cheating rich with more resources to fuck us over.

Part of me wants Chelsea and MC to be humiliated with early exits, and part wants them out there for a month so they have a short preseason.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get their opening games put back to later in the season, like happened with teams that made the latter stages in the Champions League in that interrupted Covid season. Though it may be more difficult to find spare dates for them now.

I want them to be knackered and key players injured. And then complain it ain’t fair as they pocket millions and millions.

I want them out. Not that there's much chance of them struggling in a group stage against the likes of Wydad Casablanca and LA FC.

I'm going to ignore it. So if we could clarify which of the Other Games threads it's in that would be dandy.

A goal by Santi Cazorla (ex Arsenal, now aged 40) puts Real Oviedo through to the La Liga promotion play off final.

First leg of the Sampdoria relegation playoff is on Bet365 at half seven if that's of interest to anyone.
