Red Star Belgrade? I didn't mind it because I wanted them to win and I got to stay up late.

Yep. I'm glad they won but it was an abomination of a match.

I was living in Paris back then and disliked Marseilles. It was an absolute abomination of a game given the talent on the pitch but at the time Yugoslavian league games that finished in a draw were decided on penalties so Red Star were happy to play out a draw given their shoot out experience.

Manuel Amoros missed his kick for Marseilles having been a safe option as he was one of those who’d scored in the 1982 WC semi v Germany.

Good result for us. Hoped for extra time and a massive penfest. Hopefully they’ll be sulking still come Sunday.

I struggle to relate to the level of inferiority complex you must have to have watched that game, seen them recently, looked a the fucking table, and be panicked that we'll lose.

Welcome to supporting Villa glad to have you aboard.

Ratcliffe's face when he was stood on the podium at the end was a picture.

United will have no European football next season for only the second time since English clubs were readmitted by Uefa in 1990. They will play in the Carabao Cup in August

And probably win it in March.

Frustrating to see these no-mark clubs like Newcastle, Palace and Spurs win stuff.

Ending the trophy drought needs to become more of a club priority. Suddenly ours is looking bad with that lot ending theirs

It was worse than theirs to begin with!

If only he'd sacked more catering staff, they could have brought in a higher quality manager.

There’s a great meme of that kid on Facebook.  The two pictures are side by side and someone has put ‘when the ice cream van comes onto the estate and your dad tells you to get a choc ice outta freezer.’

All this £100m game stuff?  If that's the case, we must've earned at least £100m this season, and if so, with the sale of Duran, how on earth are we still looking at selling players to comply with PSR?

It genuinely would not surprise me if these two just swap managers. That match was basically Championship level. Absolutely hilarious.

Because we can't include 'broadcasters' hyperbole' in the end-of-year accounts.
