Hitting the woodwork and going out is not hitting the target. You have literally missed. Of course going in off the woodwork and in is on target. The target includes SOME of the post, and can be very marginally increased (or decreased) dependent on what spin you put on the ball.

Also, an irrational dislike of mine is saying hitting the bar is "unlucky". It's not. You just missed a bit closer. No luck involved. You just didn't quite do the job properly.
one of the shots hit the post and rolled pretty much along the goal line towards the other post . Is that "off target " ?

Yes. There's a way you can tell if a shot's on target when nobody deflects, saves or blocks it. It goes into the goal.

The Prem hasn't helped anybody else.

They'd better not start now.

That would set a precedent from which there would be no getting away.

Yep. Really simple. Troy Townsend says they should be classed as on target and I don't really know what to say to it. It just isn't.

I'd prefer the game on the Thursday tbh. Sunday games are shite. Still, more chance of them resting players on the Sunday I suppose. Hopefully the vikings knock them out so it doesn't matter.

Massively disagree. Last game of the season - You don't want a night game for that, as the ground will be half empty for the players' lap of honour. Rescheduling to a Thursday night, when kids have school the next day is utter madness. My crappy memory seems to think we got stitched up with this in one of the recent seasons too?

I understand the logic, just for purely selfish reasons not mad on Sunday games. To close to Monday to enjoy yourself, and you can't really go too mad on the Saturday either, so sort of takes over the whole weekend. Friday would probably be fairer seeing as that's when Man U are playing, but maybe the TV companies would want to show both.

Pathetic from Forest in their first FA Cup semi-final for 34 years. 1 shot on target in 90 mins, even we had 5.

I didn't see it, but Forest's xG was 1.68 to Man City's 1.37. Ours was 0.99, so they must have got themselves into a half decent position at some point.

Think BV was joking. Forest were poor in the first half but in the first few seconds of the second, just after coming on, Elanga missed a sitter. Better chance than we managed in 100 minutes yesterday. They hit wood thrice (not Chris) and City's goalie made a great save from Gibbs-White.

Twice I think, Burnley at home under Getard, then Liverpool last season

If it's on Sunday at 7pm that's a night game anyway.

Google currently shows both us and Forest kicking off at 14.15 that day but this only shows us as either/or. Tbf to Spurs, Sunday at 7 is literally the worst time it could be for a midweek cup final.

Walking out of Wembley I had no appetite to watch the last two home games, the KO times don't really help either. I'll probably go to the Fulham game but 7pm on a Sunday is appalling and midweek isn't much better. As regards the latter, we should be the better club, take the moral high ground but then it will inconvenience all those people who have bought tickets so Spurs can fuck off.

I genuinely hope Stockport 115 win the Cup, it can then be discounted as another trophy gained by cheating and therefore dismissed.

Reading stories of Everton fans selling blue flares yesterday to Liverpool fans but with red labels on them.

Walking through Kings Norton earlier, bloke with a Liverpool top on walked past. He tried to give me the time of day and I just grimaced at the jersey. Childish, I know. But they can also fuck off.
