Strange that the Exeter fans maintained a respectful silence as the Forest players took their penalties. Like at rugby games.

They probably all wanted to go to bed.

Bellingham. Invisible for 92 minutes then pops up with that.
I don’t know whether to laugh or not

Keane and Wright tipping Villa for the Cup. That's done it!

Every Forest penalty went to the keepers right and I don’t think he dived that way once

In the nights other match, Juve won 2-1 at home. McKennie scored the first, (much to SE's delight I'm sure), assisted by F Gatti. Luiz played the full 90. Still close to call next match is at PSV, although you expect Juve to just defend it out.

Only saw McKennie’s goal, a lovely strike from the edge of the box. I think he’s having a decent season.

Real Madrid played tonight with a back 4 that had never even trained together before. Makeshift defensive lineups is all the rage, we're trendsetters.

I dont think this ties over to be honest. Both sides are very good on their  day. City  at theor best are capable of going there and winning although very tough.

Wouldn't  want real based on potentially bellingham  scoring then giving the blosers something to celebrate about for the next 20 years

I was at an England v Australia game (might have been the 'Erika Roe' match). Whenever England were about to take a kick, an Aussie near me shouted out "it's a brick", which I thought was quite good.

And a striker who missed 4 "sitters" before shinning a spawny one in

Guardiola learning from late Paul Lambert-era Villa:

Quote
But the masters of game management can barely walk for the amount of self-inflicted bullet holes in their feet. It should not come as a surprise when 1-0 up at Brighton after 77 minutes became a 2-1 defeat, 3-0 up against Feyenoord after 74 minutes became a 3-3 draw, 1-0 up against Manchester United after 87 minutes before a 2-1 defeat, 2-0 up against Brentford after 81 minutes became a 2-2 draw and 2-0 up against Paris Saint-Germain after 55 minutes became a 4-2 defeat, yet muscle memory still kicks in and expects Manchester City to strangle the jeopardy out of these matches in a way they no longer can.

In the Champions League alone Manchester City, in a campaign they started with three consecutive clean sheets, have conceded nine goals just from the 75th minute onwards in their last six.

Without the running of Rodri, other players have to do it more. And they are getting too old to be doing that. I mentioned De Bruyne was blowing around 65-70 mins into the match after one attack. Walker (before he left), Stones and Gündoğan are similarly static these days. Gvardiol and Lewis are probably their most mobile players at the moment.
