Unfortunately, it looks like a long night ahead for Salford.
Jack getting a charity penalty kick to remember what it's like to score a goal.

I think the League Cup is to all intents a busted flush.  Whilst an idea with all the best intentions, guaranteed home ties for the lower ranked teams will probably just hasten the demise. If you're say, associated with Fulham, why would you be interested in a competition that gives you nothing but mid-week trips to Plymouth or Middlesbrough?

Plus it's an opportunity for lower league fans to travel to some of the big grounds. I'd say most Accrington fans relished the chance to go to Anfield today, rather than lose to them at home.

Accrington also get more money from it being played at Anfield.

Really not much point the BBC putting this match on live. Apart from the Manc local interest, was it gonna be anything but a C115 win?
It allowed the BBC to start the show with a clichéd montage about Salford being the poorer, working-class neighbouring city. Put together by media types who live in expensive apartments on Salford Quays and have obviously never walked the streets a few hundred yards from the Etihad centre circle.

Again, in France I think the lower ranked club can chose to trade home advantage for the income of playing at a big ground.

Not saying I want it, but the alternatives seems to be, 1. what we have, 2.  the semis and final being played in the Middle East. 3. The french randomnesss.

Well done Plymouth!

If they drew Blues in the next round, could they call the game a Wayne Rooney Survivors derby?

Isn't it just a disparaging term (probably started by Yanited fans) suggesting that Citeh fans live in SK postcodes rather than Manchester, specifically SK3.

Ta. It seems like it just undermines Stockport County more than Man City, to me. And stealing "bantz" from Man U fans can never be a good thing. Still, at least it's not as bad as "Spuds" or "Barcodes".

I see the lesser spotted Chiesa scored for Liverpool.

Since when does he play for Liverpool? That transfer totally passed me by.

They signed him in January, he has only made one league appearance, that was as a sub for 18 minutes.

They signed him in the summer.

Yes an embarrassing gift  from Gundogan, in a game where even Doku scores twice.

I never stole it from anyone, and I have the utmost respect for the original Stockport but it is indeed where they garnered much of their support from. I also had utmost respect for Man City but not anymore. I forgot to add 115 on earlier as well.
