Plymouth beating Brentford 1-0. Finally an upset?

I suppose Exeter beating Oxford would be an upset, too.

Well done Plymouth!

If they drew Blues in the next round, could they call the game a Wayne Rooney derby?

I see the lesser spotted Chiesa scored for Liverpool.

Since when does he play for Liverpool? That transfer totally passed me by.

They signed him in January, he has only made one league appearance, that was as a sub for 18 minutes.

I think a couple of people wanted us to sign him, but most wisely thought he was too much of an injury risk.

The FA Cup really is boring as fuck.

Is it France where the lower ranked team gets the home tie?  Not suggesting it for the FA Cup but the LC should think about it. The cups are both a bit sterile right now given the strength of the PL teams.

I think the League Cup is to all intents a busted flush.  Whilst an idea with all the best intentions, guaranteed home ties for the lower ranked teams will probably just hasten the demise. If you're say, associated with Fulham, why would you be interested in a competition that gives you nothing but mid-week trips to Plymouth or Middlesbrough?

Plus it's an opportunity for lower league fans to travel to some of the big grounds. I'd say most Accrington fans relished the chance to go to Anfield today, rather than lose to them at home.

Really not much point the BBC putting this match on live. Apart from the Manc local interest, was it gonna be anything but a C115 win?
