At least I know why they are called Wolves with all the howling coming from west of me last night.

It wasn’t quite going for them.
They were entitled to a bit of help.

It was a penalty -the contact was enough to take the player's boot off.

They weren't looking at that though, they were looking to see if the defender being so close behind him contacted him before touching the ball, similar to the Watkins penalty against Brentford. The boot off was the feet coming together before then, and if his boot came off then, he didn't have them tied on very well.

There was an incident later in the game where another tackle almost removed a boot, so you could be right.

Apologies if this has been covered earlier, but was listening to a conversation on the radio earlier about the FIFA club competition that is going to take place in the summer.

It's a ridiculous idea, especially in June, but they said on the radio that the clubs entering get a minimum of £60m, which could go as high as £130m if they win it.  That is obviously a big reward and big chunk towards PSR.

You then see that Chelsea are in it and wonder how that decision was reached and who made it, as it obviously gives them a financial advantage over other teams around them.  No issues with it being decided on the back of winning something the season before, but the decision to include Chelsea look suspicious.

I think they qualified as 2021 CL winners

More dubious is letting Inter Miami in when they got knocked out in first round of MLS playoffs. Just so Messi can play.

Well yeah, I'm just not sure about the whole handpicking teams, especially when it gives them a financial advantage over their rivals.  As I say, I don't know who makes the decision, but that could be very corrupt.

They've been pretty open about how teams qualify via continental competitions, so no reason why Chelsea shouldn't be there. I'm sure that, if the whole thing was "corrupt", they would much rather teams like Man U, Barcelona and Ronaldo's club had qualified, but none of them are there whereas Red Bull Salzburg are.

They were very reticent to reveal how they would decide the additional "host" spot, though. Thus, the only really dubious qualifier is Inter Miami because they didn't decide the qualifying criteria until it just happened to suit them. Awarding the place to the one-off winner of the "Supporters' Shield" rather than the best team over four years or even the overall champion in the year in question is clearly bollocks.

FIFA is just a hugely corrupt organisation.

World Cup is another example where football associations can't vote for the hosts of 20230 and then for 2034, they have to vote for both together. And the vote will be based on a round of applause rather than a ballot. So basically completely engineered to get Saudi through as hosts. Wankers.

Juv vs citeh is going to be a interesting one as both sides need to win.  If citeh lose they are in massive trouble

Does their form impact on 5th place getting CL next  season? Or are we doing well enough that it negates their shitty run.

Lille and Athletico currently winning. Both have tough matches next with Liverpool and Levekusen respectively. Although Liverpool are qualified, and have a lot of matches in Jan so will they put out second string for the next two matches.
