I've just watched the Southampton disallowed goal and Armstrong is a mile off and tries to play the ball. Not sure why everyone's so mad about it.

Armstrong is miles offside, and Archer is also off. There's no way that gets past a VAR check.

Archer wasn't offside.

The lineman flagged for offside so VAR didn't rule out a goal. They would have told the ref that Alum Armstrong was offside and Cameron wasn't, but he decided that was enough and didn't need a screen to confirm the original decision. So for all the VAR haters, without it it still wasn't a goal.

Agree, just seen it after the comments on here and he either tried to play the ball from the cross or was at least close enough to it before it got to Archer to be deemed interfering imo.

I can see Southampton giving us problems next weekend , they play lovely stuff between the lines
And they are bottom of the League for a reason.
And Albion are 2nd for a reason. .

I agree.  Also the keeper sets himself for an Armstrong finish.  If he wasn’t interfering the keeper could have ignored Armstrong and closed down Archer much better.

Yes, just watched it back, Armstrong is offside and interfering with play, not sure what all the fuss is about to be honest.

If I were refereeing on that incident, I'd be influenced by the fact that it was really rubbish play by Armstrong, to have got himself so far in front of the ball, so far in front of the last defender, and had then flung a leg at the ball that he was never going to get to!
