Archer scores but ruled offside
If i understand it right semi-automated offside (if and when it ever happens) is all about the timing of the pass and the positioning of the players. So that would have been a goal. No f*cking about with who else dangled a leg near the ball 15 yards away with no consequence. And all about what the ref and lino thought - plus a check on the scorer. Can't imagine why they're persistently delaying the introduction of semi-automated ??

The latter action had no effect at all upon the trajectory of the ball or the behaviour of Brighton defenders. Under the rules defining interfering with play that was not doing so. Terrible decision

I can see Southampton giving us problems next weekend , they play lovely stuff between the lines
