Excellent. So do we know who we play next or has it yet to be drawn?

Home to Bradford.

Revenge for 2013.

It's not often you see Villa score nineteen times.

Like the Bolton game before our young lads took some very good penalties, particularly liked Swinkels nearly lodging the ball on the roof of the net.

Will it be at VP

We have never been drawn at home for an EFL trophy game before. So I checked the rule book for the tournament.

6.4.2 would seem to confirm the game should be played at VP and not BH.

I'm strangely excited for this, maybe it's the thought of Blues in the Semis / Quarters, Wrexham in the next round or a day at Wembley. Hope it's ST holders in for free, kids for a quid and Adults for a tenner. Can see Bradford bringing a few.

Full draw...
Lincoln City v Bolton Wanderers
Chesterfield v Rotherham United
Aston Villa U21 v Bradford City
Port Vale v Wrexham.
Swindon Town v Birmingham City
Cheltenham Town v Colchester United
Leyton Orient v Stevenage
Peterborough United v Walsall

Nearly all games are being played Tuesday 14th Jan. We have not fixed a date yet, presumably due to the 1st team being at Everton that night.

After this round it's all unseeded. The semi final is 2 legged. The final is at Wembley on Sunday 13th April. The first team are away to Southampton the day before. There is no extra time (apart from the final) with all games going straight to penalties if level.

Historically, U-21 teams rarely get much further. Chelsea once reached the semi.
Think of us as being a League 2 side that have reached R5 of the FAC and all our opponents are Premier League or top quality championship. So don't going booking hotels just yet.

And one of the coolest stadiums in the world, if their Youth team play there.
