He does. With Leon out and Phil underperforming, he could get some chances in a busy month.

I've been saying for a while I'd like to see Broggio involved with the first team. Maybe with Bailey out for a bit he might get a go off the bench every now and then.

Broggio is why I'm not that interested in the links to Dibling. If BB was at a club like Southampton I suspect he'd have 15-20 appearance to his name by now and starting to get a bit of a reputation.

Just to go back, that's 4 goals and 3 assists in Europe for Broggio, on top of 3 goals and an assist in 11 domestic games. I hope he gets a chance for the firsts before the summer, he looks a fantastic prospect.

Have you seen Jack McGrath yet Paul? As Lucas Digne would say “ANOTHER ONE!”

Apparently he often trains with the first team.

He did make the bench recently I think (Palace possibly?)

Not yet, Bradley Burrowes (who scored the first) is the next one I'd been told to watch out for.

Also from the highlights the header for our third was excellent.

Could have been easier. We seem to be better than them based on league position, but may depend on how many players are called up to first team squads.

The draw for the next round of the Vertu Trophy (ie the EFL trophy) takes place on Saturday lunchtime (14th Dec). So, the AVFC U21s will know who they will play next should they manage to get past Blackpool on Tuesday evening. The draw is still regionalised with the draw for the Northern section consisting of the following teams:

1.Bolton Wanderers; 2. Bradford City;
3. Chesterfield; 4. Lincoln City; 5. Port Vale;
6. Rotherham United; 7. Wrexham;
8. Blackpool or Aston Villa U21.

Anyway, got to get past Blackpool first.

 If we beat Blackpool, it looks like Bradford at home, is that possible we would play at Villa Park ? Trying to buy tickets for Blackpool, but the Official site keeps directing me to Newcastle away....

AVFC were allocated 268 tickets for the Blackpool vs AVFC U21 match. These were paper tickets (rather than digital) and were sent out by post. As far as I know we had not sold out. I assume the tickets have been taken off sale because there is not enough time to send the tickets out by post now for Tuesday. Only the main stand is open for this game. Villa fans are in Block P with the home fans in Blocks J to M.

I suspect you can pay on the evening (£10 adults / £5 concessions) however might be a good idea to call Blackpool FC to make sure. In fact, Blackpool FC might be able to arrange for you to collect the tickets from their ticket office.

If we get through I would imagine we will play at Villa Park given the U21s played at VP in the Birmingham Senior Cup last season.
