Aston Villa's fixtures in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy have been confirmed.

The Young Lions will compete against Fleetwood Town, Bolton Wanderers and Barrow in Group D.

Josep Gombau's Under-21s begin their campaign on Tuesday, August 27 (ko 7pm) against League Two Fleetwood.

Villa then head to Bolton on Tuesday, September 24 (ko 7.45pm).

The group stage comes to a close with a trip to Barrow on Tuesday, October 29 (ko 7.45pm).

Fleetwood game now put back to Sep 3rd due to them getting through in League Cup the other night.

Not heard much mentioned about Broggio - seems he's a local lad with England honours already, and playing U21s at 16?  Should we assume he's a decent prospect?  Obviously nowhere near the first team, but always nice to see if there are some promising kids on the horizon...

From what I've heard he's very highly rated, near the level Grealish and JJ were at that age.

I suppose we cant complain too much, considering this is how we got him.

Personally, I would give him a deadline & if he hasn't signed then there is no more point us putting any more development money into him & let him run down his contract without our assistance.
