Final UEFA Youth League game just kicking off. Updated scenarios after earlier games:

If we win we qualify, if we lose we are out.

If we draw, we need at least two of the following to happen:

PSG lose at Salzburg (half an hour gone, Salzburg one up)
Lille lose vs Sturm Graz (Wed)
AC Milan fail to win vs Red Star (Wed)

We equalised to make it 2-2, now behind again. If we don't get, at least, a draw, we are out.

Scrap that....

We equalize in the 3rd added minuite and get a pen in the 6th added minute, duly converted by Broggio... for the win!

Seems we only did a few fouls but must have been hard ones being as we had almost half of them carded.

I think at least 1 was for arguing with the ref because Broggio got a yellow without conceding a free kick, right after their first goal.

Jacob Tanswell on twitter:

“Outstanding, dramatic win for #AVFC's youngsters in the UEFA Youth League against RB Leipzig. Means they progress into the knockout stages and was fitting Ben Broggio scored the winner, having been the star man in the competition so far.”

I seem to remember another kid with low socks and tiny shin pads being the star man when we won the next gen competition backaday.

No pressure Ben.

I've been saying for a while I'd like to see Broggio involved with the first team. Maybe with Bailey out for a bit he might get a go off the bench every now and then.

Apparently he often trains with the first team.
