Not sure about that. I think if we lose to Barrow in ninety minutes and Fleetwood beat Bolton on penalties we would go out.

Though I still don't like Premier League clubs being in this competition anyway. 🙂

Premier clubs don’t have their proper badge on the Beeb’s score updates. I guess that it’s to show it’s not the first team but I don’t really know. Looking at the stats it looks like our boys were under the cosh somewhat so to win it on pens is a surprise.

Yeah they were defending most of the game but were very well organised and held their nerve and looked fast and dangerous on the odd counter .

Tonight’s 2 pointer means a point from our final group game at Barrow would secure progress to the knockout stages. The only scenario in which we may not progress is if Fleetwood beat Bolton in a bonus point shootout.

We face Barrow on Tuesday November 12th, kick off 7:00pm.

Fantastic effort from the lads. I watched from the kick off, but was increasingly emotionally invested as the game went on, so brilliant was the rearguard action. I was gutted when I had to leave for work and couldn’t get the game on my phone.

All’s well that ends well.

Apparently we’re playing a behind closed doors friendly against Sheffield Wednesday in the coming week.

Would that be to give Mings and Kamara another run out do you think?
