Also, we've been drawn at home to Oxford United or Bristol Rovers in the cup. Can't argue with that.

Salmon puts us ahead. We still need Tottenham to lose at Palace to have any chance of going through, 0-0 at half-time in that one.

Daly again, 4-1. We are still out because Tottenham have won, but hopefully they get a bit of confidence ahead of the weekend.

Villa 2 West Ham 1 approaching half-time. Leon with both our goals.

Dalli with the third for a 3-1 win. Needed that. Mid-season break now until 12th Jan (cup). 18th Jan at Everton is our next league game. Surely we have appointed a permanent manager by then. Wonder if Goater is in the running?

Has a men's team manager ever moved directly to a women's team? I have no idea what sort of salary a WSL manager is getting. Is it much below league 2 level of pay? I can't seem to find much on it.

Emma Hayes seems to be earning around £1.3 million p/a as USA women's boss, parity with her male counterpart who manages the men's team. Sarina Wiegman earns £400k, but got an extra 50% in bonuses for winning the Euros.

Short of that, there's not much info online. I'd be surprised if many club managers earn much more than £100k per year.

(Men's) League One average is £200k, League Two is £80k.

In short, I doubt you'd tempt someone to move from the English Football League to Women's Super League, unless you're someone like Chelsea who would likely pay far above average.

I'd rather go and get the best available manager from the women's game anyway, I reckon.

Cheers. Yeah, all I could find was about Hayes and Weigman.

I completely agree, I would rather find the best women's manager available. I was just curious at how tempting the job would be to those in the men's game. I mean, we are missing out on the likes of Charlie Adam.

It's Bristol Rovers (4th tier) after they upset Oxford (3rd). First time they've ever been in the Fourth Round. If we lose that, we can sack whoever we've appointed by then...

Good for the 'Gas Girls' (aka Bristol Rovers).

I know their Manager, Nathan Hallett-Young, as I did my UEFA B qualification at the same and have had some dealing with him given his and my day jobs - he works for the Rovers Community Trust.

He can strike some as a bit serious, but he's a good bloke. I still hope we beat them - just not by too many. UTV
