He's quick and will suit those cross field balls into space that the likes of SJM like to play.

Long, crossfield balls to Preston or Sheffield where he'll inevitably be on loan next season.

Cheers Unai.

Suspect he'll go to a promotion hopeful and cover this year's amortisation with it.

Being reported as £3m, which coincidentally is exactly what Everton need to comply with PSR.

If, though, they are spending £9m on Timmy Irons doesn't that mean they'd need to raise another 6?

No they’ll book Tim on a five year deal at £9m divided by five.

It's a load of old BS this FFP lark.

Surely sales should, by the same rationale, be amortised over the length of the contract they go into, also?

As a kid I had a friend named Robin who was nicknamed Dobbin, I reckon that's a good omen.

There's a coincidence....as much as being vindictive can be fun is this deal really in the interest of the player? Season long loan to WBA or something

That rules Small Heath out, then.

And this kids, is why accountants get the big bucks.

That would be novel.Amortisation of assets is standard accounting procedure.
The problem is the the method being used to try to regulate the game.

I wonder if SUE has a clear plan for him in the team or if we have speculated on a future profit maker?

Straight out on loan to a top end Championship team for 6 months would be my guess.

Me too.  I cannot see him getting enough games with Buendia, Morgan, Ramsey and Junior playing in his position.  I actually think Morgan may need to consider himself as a sub for Watkins in order to maintain his growth.
