What a great day and to be honest I didn’t fully appreciate what happened that day. We were on a upward curve and I just shrugged my shoulder and expected it to happen regularly🤔

Happy Rotterdam Day. Our local rivals hate it when we mention it, which is nice.

Dennis Mortimer refused to swap shirts. As captain he knew he would receive the cup, and said he was determined to do it in a Villa shirt. Clever chap our captain.

Likewise.

3 generations of Villa going overseas to bring back the cup was special.

Managed to get 3 generations to Villa Park once this season but not likely to happen often, or at all overseas due to being too young and too old.

Forever grateful.

Watched the game at home. The neighbours came round to see if we were OK when Peter Withe scored because they thought someone had got seriously injured.

In my re-watching of the game we've just scored 😁

Some folk are chatting shit in the match-thread about Withey not meaning it.

Unfortunately because of the amount I had to drink on my way over there I don't remember much. The 2 things I can still remember is the goal plus them being given offside with minutes to go.
