Went to East Mids airport on 25th July - No Villa shirt in JD Sports, but they did have Wolves, Arsenal and both City and United - shame the shirt was not on sale as I probably would have brought it.

I hope you invested your money in a huge Toblerone, 200 Superkings and a £9 pint instead?

York City and Colchester United shirts at East Midlands airport, whatever next!
That's obviously not the city & united Sid meant.  Got to be Lincoln City and Peterborough United, ain't it?  Guessing East Midlands is more vaguely-local to them.

So, my new shirt arrived the day we played Columbus Crew. I wore it watching all three US games and we lost them all.

This immediately led to world-wide talk of the shirt being cursed.

I retired it. It’s now in a storage box above a wardrobe in a spare room (the laundry-gym), along with other Villa shirts I no longer wear.

…and we start winning!

That is undeniable, fact upon fact, scientifically proven evidence that the curse is real and only mitigated by entombing in plastic Ikea storage.

And now I have to get a new shirt.  >:(

Totally reasonable Dogtanian. You’ve done the right thing by all of us and your sacrifice is much appreciated.

And you can still wear your shirt when there are no Villa games. Mostly June really.

Thankyou for your kind words of solace in these dark times!

I'm hoping the away kit will be out soon so I can start rebuilding my life before WHAM! away.

So it's specifically your shirt that's cursed and not the kit in general? A much easier problem to solve, thankfully.

So when, between now and 1730 next Saturday are we going to launch our away strip?

Maybe we’re not going to have an away kit, and everyone else will have to change shirts in deference to us.

To be frank, it’s the very least they ought to do.

Fucking hell, I hadn't realised how close we are to the start of the season until I read this.

West Ham are probably the only team we really really need an away kit to play against. We'd get away with the home one against most others.

because the home kit was launched late i can understand why they are delaying the away launch , to avoid cannibilisation of home shirt sales
