I wouldn’t count on it. These designer brands RRP have absolutely no link to quality (when it comes to t shirts and jeans specifically). It’s all about buying the brand and protecting its image.

They wouldn't have an image to protect if they turned out stuff that was similar in quality to football shirts.

Sadly rarely the case for their retail stuff. The quality is often no better

Quality designer clothing lasts.

About 30 odd years ago when i was a care-free young ****** about town in that London, I used to buy Armani jeans. They were about £110 at the time, wihch was obscene in 1992.

However, they absolutely were higher quality.

I have a couple of pairs of Gant jeans atm, which are not really exorbitantly priced, but are a bit spendy, and they've both been washed 100 times and the colour hasn't changed a bit.

I agree with Ads. Sometimes more expensive clothing really is of higher quality.

It is. I think frank probably buys Tommy Hilfinger clobber.

Never heard of him. Show me a “designer” t shirt that’s actually worth £200/£300 and better quality than your bog standard fruit of the loom.

Anyway the knockoff football kits won’t last many washes before the badges peel off. But for a few quid it’s arguably better value

I always craved a pair of Armani jeans back in the day. I’d recommend Huit (UK based and made) and also Nudie jeans.

Designer gear eg. Versace , Givenchy, Saint Lauren etc is generally well made and quality materials and stitching etc, totally overpriced but unlike football tat,  the quality is there .

My lads had Off White , Kith and others… they’ve all faired poorly. His Kith cargos have practically fallen apart and the T shirts are out of shape after a couple of washes. Best to buy stuff from companies that specialise IMO

I prefer to get the $100+ clothes on clearance at TJ Maxx for $20, eg. Calvin Klein, Adidas, Helly Hansen, etc. I don't ever buy the super luxury designer brands.

Soccer boots are the perfect example, I used to buy $150 preds, but I would blow the sides out after a year on the astroturf fields over here, so now I buy $20 Chinese no-name boots with an AG plate and they last longer too.

Footwear is definitely worth the extra if you are buying from the quality brands eg Bally , Grenson etc. Cheap shoes (Dune etc) are a false economy

I’m a big fan of Grenson shoes.

Worth paying for the name as they are also quality and built to last so end up being good value .

I got my new kit with the CL patch, I thought that our patches would show the trophy with a "1" inside for our win in 82?

Do they only come along when we get to the knock outs.

May have missed it on previous pages, but any sign of the away kits yet?  Guessing we will be playing in it on the weekend.
