Wank. Palace are a really good team under their new geezer. Thank fuck we got the job done in the week.

Let's just get Ollie his goal and go home.

I hate this defence and keeper.  I never want to see any of them in a Villa shirt again, other than Konsa.  Absolute garbage.

We didn't know it at the time but we basically had the job done on 21 April when we beat Bournemouth

I feel for Olsen because he's not quite as bad as he used to be, but you do feel that shot on target = goal with him.

I know it’s meaningless but it’s been a really crap few results to end the season.

I imagine we'd be playing differently if this game actually mattered. As I said before the game, Crystal Palace could finish Top 10 (they are as things stand) so it matters to them. Whereas mentally we've probably checked out.

Ah, there's that angry match-thread energy we were missing.

Clearly additional mitigation today, but in the second half of the season our defensive shape/play has been really poor. Quite unusual for an Emery side and one we definitely need to sort next season.
