Atalanta were very free scoring in some of their matches. They also gave Madrid and Barcelona games as well.
Atalanta have reached the knockout stages of European competition 6 out of the last 8 seasons and won the Europa League last season. Sounds like plenty of experience to me.

They've both got loads of players who have played dozens of matches at the business end of European competition, and some who haven't. Some who've done well and some who've done badly. So I'm not sure Dortmund as a club having played more in Europe in a time before any of these players were playing for them is much of a dividing factor.
