If there are going to be protests this weekend i hope they are all kept outside of the ground . Emery and the players don't deserve any of the negativity.

I agree with you on this to an extent. I dont know where he has heard it (tik tok probably) but my son has said something about a red card protest before kick off on Saturday. It needs to be something visible and to have maximum effect the TV cameras need to see it, which they are more likely to inside the ground. But i do agree about game time, your right Unai and the players dont deserve any of this coming their way.
No reason why we can’t show support for Unai and team AND throw hand grenades into the directors box.

If I remember right there was a red card protest not long after the pound sign one….the red card one looked pants against a back drop of people in claret or those in black coats

If you were a youngster on the outskirts of Birmingham maybe a little north in a town or village and you wanted to see a big live champions league game , are you going to pay villa prices / GA+ prices to see us a team with no real super stars or Man City littered with them?  This is hugely damaging for our future

In my own news re tickets, I’ve decided to can a CL game ticket and am instead going to see the ODI v West Indies at the end of next May. As usual Edgbaston will be majority Villa fans anyway, and we’ll have won the FA Cup by then too.

I commented on the quality of the away fixtures when the draw came out and got slated for suggesting it was a crap draw for people intending to go the games so I agree with you on that front.

However I can't wait for the Bayern game and will be snapping tickets up the minute they come out.

In terms of our draw and fixtures , if we could swap our home and away games around I'd feel more confident (e.g. Play the weaker teams down B6) . As it stands I think we have a tough draw.

You really are a pessimistic glass empty guy. Can you not see a Villa win at young boys, Bruge and Monaco? Plus home wins against Bayern, Juventus, Bologna and Celtic? It's a great draw and one we should all be looking forward to with optimism.  Dare to dream a little and have let a bit of sunshine in matey.

Ha fair enough , I love your optimism especially coming from Telford  ;). My point was more around the way the draw has played out H/A I believe it's tough. As we found out last season these euro teams all love a premier league scalp .

Someone tell me it's not just me.
I'm a season ticket holder. I go on to the page marked 'season ticket holders buy your own seat' for the Bayern game, click on the window and it takes me to a page marked 'seats held for season ticket holders - the following seats are held for you - select and proceed'. But, although the headings are there (season holder, event, date, price range, etc), there's not information - which means I will have to spend Monday morning phoning the club to secure my seat (lucky I'm retired). is there something I'm not doing right. Advice please.

If you opted into the cup scheme then you don't need to secure your seat. If you look in your account and then under tickets, Bayern Munich should be in there.

You'd think that but I received the email saying my ticket was purchased, but wasn't sent the ticket so asked AVFCSupport where it was they told me they'd attempted to take the payment but it had been blocked. So obviously I contacted my bank only for them to tell me no attempt had been made. So I brought the ticket using the card that Villa said had blocked the payment and surprise it worked and I now have the ticket. I'll be messaging Villa to take me out of the pointless cup scheme tomorrow

Defo

Besides if Cleeve want to see Cit-eh - the tickets at Cit-eh are much easier to get hold of as there are always available (empty) seats.

Fingers crossed. Currently number 34 in the phone queue to claim my ST seat for the Bayern game, having been unable to get anywhere online. The joys and stresses of the CL.
