It doesn't seem 5 minutes since that soul destroying evening at Craven Cottage and yet, here we are!

Steer, Uncle Albert, Chester risking his career, Hourihane, Tammy, Hutton, Jedi, Trez, AEG, just a few of the players no longer at the club that played their part in where we are now.

Not forgetting Super Jack. 8)

Hahaha! Pictures say a thousand words, mate!

We play Barca on a Wednesday night

To get to the Champions League is one thing but we will be there in our 150th year. Call me sentimental but I think the old Villa ghosts played a part, what a feeling and what a club.

Really quite emotional thinking about how far we have come in so short a time.
I was 24 when I saw us play Dinamo Bucharest at VP in 1982 in defence of the European Cup we had won the previous season.
I'm 66 now and never thought I would live to see the day that we would actually be playing in the Championa League.
It hasn't really sunk in yet but absolutely over the moon.

Absolutely! It's a same we couldn't have picked up a bit of European silverware this year but we have a lot to celebrate in our 150th anniversary.

Would've been nice to win it, wouldn't it?

Never mind, not to be.

Was 15 when we beat BM 1-0 in Rotterdam. It’s been a largely miserable 40 years since and I’m absolutely over the moon at what we have achieve this season.

The owners, coaches, manager, players to a tee deserve tremendous respect - they have given us belief, a style of play, and results we could only ever have dreamt of 2 years back. .

I’m in awe. I have never been so proud. I think the next few years are going to be difficult but we just need to keep progressing. Roll with it. Recognise we will face adversity. But, if we stick together, this might just be the birth of a beautiful era.

To Unai - sir, you are a legend already.
To the owners - thank you
To the squad - love you all
And to my fellow fans - believe.

What a night!  Compared to almost all of you, I'm a relative newcomer.  Not from Birmingham, not even English, no relative or friend in sight that supported the team.  Just an American vagabond, looking for a team to adopt (or maybe it was a team to adopt me), when the owner of my beloved Cleveland Browns bought the team, and I was all in.  Team owners have come and gone since for both teams, but just like the Browns, I'm a fan for life now.

Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years now, but I've seen the near rise to prominence under MON, the collapse when he left, and the parade of coaches and players that plagued us for years after.  Much like the Browns, we've had promises of great players, only to see them leave or never pan out. And also like the Browns, both teams hit rock bottom around the same time in the late 2010's.

But I'm glad I stayed on the rollercoaster though.  This season has been incredible and tonight was the final cherry on top.  We're in Champions League!  The thing we were so close to when I first started rooting for this team, and the thing the seemed so far away just a few seasons ago.  We did it!  Thank you Unai!  Thank you every one of you players!  I can't wait to see what happens next year.

Last night, Liverpool made four subs who cost approx £200m between them. We brought on a loanee from the Turkish league, a kid signed from the MLS and Callum Chambers. We finished one place below that team.

All credit to Emery and the players who despite the injuries, setbacks, fatigue and pressure chamber of competing near the top all season managed this incredible achievement in just his first full season with the club. I just can’t believe we’ve finally done it.
