But Emi has plenty of credit in the bank for the many, many times he's saved us previously.

Shades of the Heskey fan club, this. Seem to remember one dingbat on here roasting Carew for a miss or rare so so performance during his peak years with us, saying Heskey would get stick so why is Carew immune.

In v simple terms, if you have many many more good performances than bad you get more wiggle room.
