It’s a pen.
Please explain how that is a penalty.

Maybe they just aren't very good.

Maybe but you wont know unless you play them

Probably have a good idea seeing them in training every day though.
Exactly. People seem to miss that point when questioning why this player or that player isn't getting picked.

Again. Training is training.  There is nothing like getting minutes on the pitch

The question is do you play a superior player who is fatigued or a lesser player who is not.
If there is a question over Emery management Is that maybe he has not tried to supplement the tam with some energy from our squad.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the absolute luxury today, when shuffling the squad, to have brought in say, Emi Martinez, Tyrone Mings, Kamara, JJ, Tielemans and  Buendia.

Not an excuse Emery would ever use and not one I am really making either, just a wistful thought.

Three ACLs in six months is ridiculous but at least for the first two we had time to do something about it and got in Lenglet and Zaniolo.

Brighton had about eight out today didn't they so ultimately it's just something that is happening to 90% prem teams.

One thing is for sure we can't spend months in the summer window trying to get in a DM, that needs to be our first signing of the summer and in by mid July given Kamara won't be back until December and then will need time to get up to speed.

Disappointing but so you can see that the team are absolutely out on their feet. They have given so much this season and we’ve been so unfortunate with injuries. As soon as we get someone back (Moreno) someone else goes off (Rodgers). What are we suppose to do. To get where we are is just tremendous. Game turned on two penalty calls. Rodgers after a few mins looked a one but wasn’t given. Special mention to Robin Olsen today who made some really good saves and was unlucky on the penalty rebound.

And Unai Emery is an elite level coach. I think he knows what he's doing when it comes to picking a team based on training matches at BH.

If they're not good enough in training then the odds of them being good enough in a game are not exactly high are they.

I think Kellyman might have a chance, not convinced on the others.

I thought the Rogers one in the first half was a penalty if that's the criteria. Adingra just slowed up and Ez tried to stop his momentum and there was a bit of contact, that's it.

Didn't know this was the same ref that refused us endless penalties v Sheffield United. Hopefully he's not in charge for the second leg!

Not the best performance, but I still think we will finish 4th. Liverpool did us a favour this afternoon, and hopefully we can get at least a point off them when we play them.

To make the day even even worse, I just a phone call off my mom to tell me my old man accidentally cut his thumb off! Been googling prosthetic thumbs all evening! It's unlikely he can get to the Liverpool game now, but hopefully we have a performance to cheer him up.

Credit to Olsen. Thought he was superb today and happy to admit i've given him a hard ride these last few days and been overly critical . He came in today under enormous pressure and played really well. Well done Robin.

We were flat and knackered.  Not helped by Diaby wandering aimlessly around the pitch.  If Bailey doesn't have a good game, we seem to falter with Ollie doing more work outside the box than he should be doing.  Penalty was as soft as I have seen all season.  Olsen had a good game.  Other than Diaby, no-one had a bad game, the end of the season can't come soon enough.

Konsa and McGinn had abysmal games.

McGinn couldn't run the last 30 mins.
