It may be worth bringing Tim on for a forward and putting McGinn in the 10 and we have no linkup between midfield and forwards.
Said this earlier and was castigated

The plan is to rest up for the first 45 & smash them in the second 45.

54th game of the season today. 8 first team players out.

That's why I can't really bring myself to be frustrated with how poor we have been.

We have some very demanding posters around here!

If we had some luck with injuries we'd probably be clear at the top.

On the positive for it still to be 0-0 - surely we can start to play now!

Although I agree with others, can the kids be any worse then McGinn and Luiz when they can barely run anymore and just let players passed them.

I 100% agree we could have played the kids a bit more - probably earlier in the season to manage the number of games so we're a bit more fresh for now - but I worry in this game Brighton would move less experienced players around and find a way through us.

Brilliant by Olsen, I thought that was a goal. But that half was bloody awful. I don't know what Bailey and Diaby are meant to be doing, I'm not sure they do either. Our passing and control of the ball is dire. The set up and general quality of play is like it was in the home game v Spurs.

Didn't manage one chance worthy of the name. Worrying as there's always goals in us even when we play painfully slow.

At times when we try and do something clever and it doesn't come off, it just looks stupid.

Luiz takes a free-kick and instead of launching it into the box, he tries the outside of the boot flick to the flank to Bailey. And it doesn't come off. Really difficult to accept that crap.

Not everything has to be clever, especially when we're playing poorly, just throw it into the mixer rather than pissing about.

Emery really doesn't rate Tim does he?

Surely it makes sense to put him on just for another body in midfield?

With how we're playing we're just waiting to lose this game as we're second to every ball and complete disconnect between midfield and attack.

Bailey is basically limping through games currently so that's a big part of our attacking threat gone.

Can see this being a 1-0 loss with them scoring late. Olsen kept us in it so far.

Well it wasn’t great but they didn’t score and didn’t cause us that many problems. We were insipid with the ball and utterly clueless in the final third. Still 45 to go….

They are finding ways through us at the moment, because the players are too knackered to do anything to stop them.

Well a very good save stopped them going in front.
